Saturday Pickups now available from Coromandel Town to join our Coromandel Coastal Walkway Shuttle

Enjoy a Weekend Getaway and explore to the tip of the Northern Coromandel with us!

  • The Ferry - Friday Evening

    Book the Friday night Explore Group ferry departing from the Downtown Ferry Terminal, 99 Quay Street, Central Auckland at 4.45pm. This sails to direct to Hannaford’s Wharf and arrives at 6.45 pm. Here you will be met by a complimentary shuttle which will take you into Coromandel Town.

    Note: In order to get the best out of your weekend getaway, please book your return ferry for the Sunday of the same weekend, unless you have made other transport options to depart from Coromandel Town.

  • Accommodation - Friday & Saturday Evenings

    Book two nights accommodation at one of Coromandel Town’s motels or maybe a BnB or Holiday Park is more your flavour. Not sure of options? Either give us a call or contact the Coromandel Town Information Centre or book direct with your choice of provider.

  • Join our Coastal Walkway Tour - Full Day Saturday

    With a special pickup from Coromandel Town now available, we will greet you at your accommodation at 8.15 am. From there we travel to Colville and on to the highlight of the day, the Coromandel Coastal Walkway, a 10 kilometre self guided hike which suits a range of hikers. Returning to Coromandel Town at around 6pm, you then have the evening to dine at one of town’s delicious restaurants.

  • Something for the Bikers!

    Join our Walkway Shuttle on the Saturday and we will transport you and your bike to the start of the Coastal Walkway at Stony Bay. Now the fun begins, you ride 10kms over the Walkway, 39kms to Colville and then the final 26kms to end back in Coromandel Town for dinner around 6pm. All up 75 kms of fantastic scenery and a blend of gravel surface and tarseal. If you would like to complete the ride over two days, do consider staying a night at our BnB, Susannah’s Farm Cottage in Colville

  • Explore - Sunday

    As the ferry does not depart until early afternoon you get the chance to explore the small village of Coromandel Town and its unique attractions. Consider a visit to the world famous Driving Creek Railway, perhaps take a taxi out to The Waterworks and the 309 Kauri Grove. Enjoy a short walk from town to the Medlock/Harray Trail just next to the Ride Coromandel Bike Park. Or talk to the Information Centre about joining their Boom, Bust and Beyond Tour.

  • Return Ferry - Sunday

    As they say, all good things must come to an end. Enjoy the complimentary shuttle from Coromandel Town out to Hannaford’s Wharf. Reconnect with your weekend memories as you chill out and relax on the scenic trip back to Auckland. This departs at 1.45 pm and has the added bonus of a complimentary stop at Man O’War Bay on Waiheke Island and Rotoroa Island before reaching Auckland at 4.10pm.
